General Surgery & Anesthesia
Should your pet require surgery, you can rest easy - you are in good hands! Our immaculate surgery suite is equipped to perform a wide variety of procedures, from spay/neuter, orthopedics, to biopsy and exploratory surgeries. We use the safest anesthetic agents and protocols. Your pet's vital signs: heart rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, body temperature, respiration are monitored and supported throughout surgery and into recovery. Skilled, certified veterinary technicians are there with your pet every step of the way.
Clean teeth and healthy gums are essential to your pet's health. Gum infections and infected tooth roots are common because our pets tend not to complain and often continue to eat despite their discomfort. Our veterinary staff regularly performs oral exams, cleanings and periodontal care as part of our comprehensive health care program. With our state-of-the-art IM 3 dental suite, and digital dental X-ray unit, we will provide your pet with the highest quality, virtually pain-free dental care.
Some Signs of Dental Problems include:
- Bad breath – one of the first signs of dental disease
- A yellowish-brown crust of plaque on the teeth near the gum line
- Red and swollen gums
- Pain or bleeding when your pet eats or when the mouth or gums are touched
- Decreased appetite or difficulty eating
- Loose or missing teeth
Dental problems, if left untreated, can often lead to larger systemic problems. Oral bacteria can enter the blood stream and damage the kidneys, heart and liver.
