Senior Wellness

Thanks to improved veterinary care and pet owner education, our pets are living longer than ever before. As a result, we are faced with a whole new set of age-related conditions.

Our goal is to help your pet transition gently into their senior years and provide the necessary support to ensure that they live a long, healthy and happy life.

To make the process easier for our clients and patients we offer a compassionate and comprehensive senior pet care program.  We begin with a thorough physical examination, and baseline laboratory tests.  Next, we work with our clients to develop an individually tailored  care plan to address their concerns and manage any problems their pet may have.

We utilize a multi-modal approach to manage many chronic conditions which may include; exercise/physical therapy, nutritional supplements, prescription diets, managing environmental accommodations, and medication.

Some of the common aging issues we address include:

  • Changes in vision
  • Changes in behavior
  • Arthritis and mobility problems
  • Chronic disease
  • Incontinence
  • Palliative end-of-life care

Special Needs Services and End of Life Care

For most people, our pets are a family member.  Dealing with illness and end of life care for a beloved pet can be one of the most difficult situations a person can go through. Our team is here to help guide your decisions, offer advice and help prepare you for symptoms your pet may experience.

For our patients with special needs situations; such as mobility issues or a reduced ability to handle stress, we now offer in-home care services.

Please call our office to speak with one of our senior care team technicians to schedule your evaluation.
