Ruleena Barreto

office manager

Ruleena developed her love of animals as a young child growing up in India.  As a teenager she spent much of her time volunteering with various non- profit animal welfare organizations and fostering dogs, cats and birds in desperate need. Many of these animals suffered from debilitating physical injuries and serious behavioral problems resulting from trauma.

After moving to the United States, she obtained her Bachelors degree in Animal Science with a minor in Equine Science from Rutgers University in 2016.  Ruleena has travelled to Belize and South Africa where she gained knowledge and experience in large animal and wildlife veterinary medicine.  She had the unique opportunity to work with exotic species such as lion cubs, cheetahs, wild ruminants and exotic birds.

Ruleena loves to spend time with her feline son Aymard and even take him out on hikes!  In her spare time, she enjoys travel and excursions with family and friends.
